Every year, we gather thousands of colleagues from across the Asia-Pacific and worldwide to exchange knowledge and experience. Wherever this meeting is held, our mission remains steadfast: to promote the science and art of ophthalmology among all people and nations of our region, to prevent blindness and restore sight through teaching, research, and service. This congress represents a powerful convergence of minds and hearts united in achieving this noble mission.
As a federation of ophthalmic organizations, the APAO comprises 27 national and territorial societies plus 12 subspecialty societies, representing approximately 120,000 eye doctors—a remarkable 59% of the global ophthalmology community.
