Weather & Time Zone

• Enjoy summer all year-round with Singapore's tropical climate (25-33ºC). Dress in light, airy clothing and bring along an umbrella in case of occasional rainfall. Singapore observes Singapore Standard Time (SST), which is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT +8), so be sure to calibrate your watches accordingly.

Smoking Areas

• Smoking is prohibited in buildings, retail food establishments, transport nodes, public service vehicles, and sports facilities. Designated smoking areas are marked with notices or signs. Refer to the National Environment Agency website for the full list of prohibited smoking areas.

E-vaporizers

• Purchase, possession or use of e-vaporizers, including e-vaporizer products, is illegal in Singapore, and offenders will face penalties including composition fines or prosecution. Language

• You can communicate in English with Singaporeans, who are mostly fluent in it. Many also speak Mandarin Chinese, Malay or Tamil.
